my worst & 'not- so' very worst of confessions

If you are a close friend of mine, you are definitely aware of my liking for poetry. I sincerely enjoy poetry. Eventhough, I have never written a decent poem myself in Tagalog except this.Please check the 5th Issue of http://www.pinoyexpats.org/ and its literary section.You judge! if I can be a 'Makatang Marya' in the next century,hehe

I guess, it is normal for us to want our friends to think the same way as we do. It's even more normal for our friends to expect seeing things that are familiar to them. It gives us all a sense of closeness. But it's not right to define a friend on the basis of what we believe he or she should be like. Oftentimes, we are too busy thinking about what we want from a friend that we forget about what he or she really has to offer. We focus so much on our own thoughts that we end up closing our ears to what others have to say.

In my humble opinion, we should welcome our differences, accept each other's shortcomings and listen to one another, because that is what's ultimately going to strengthen our friendship.

Thanks to YOU for the enlightenment and Thanks to many of YOU out there who have opened their door to me and their friendship. I really appreciated 'em all. I may not saying this often enough.I'd like to say 'thank you'! I wuv u all!

I guess we never really think about all the benefits of lovemaking. Well, I recently received a fwd e-mail about this. I thought you might be interested.

Did you clean your closet lately?
I have qualms about cleaning up my closet as it is difficult for me in deciding what to put back in again and what to throw out.I guess, it's my attachment to the things!or maybe because they're simply 'such a pity' to let these things go.Like those nice pair of pants I bought at half price in Akmerkez Istanbul.They actually don't fit me anymore (avah!umasa pa atang papayat!bwahaha) There are dresses that I don't like anymore (And don't need!) but can't let them go!I just do not have the heart to junk them because I might need them someday (malay mo magagamit ko sa isang cocktail party sa Zimbabwe,LOls)

BUT Frankly,looking at my closet now makes me feel miserable.It's somewhat choking me!
Is this a blinking sign that I really have to weed out my wardrobe? or WHAAAT?
p.s. if you do not see me here,am probably busy trimming my clothing rack...See you then!

I guess, it's very Filipino indeed to make each other laugh,there's always humor in everything.

I myself like making JOKES - the fun of it is also making myself laugh.Every now & then I'd say something funny and think 'Uh!that was really funny' I wish somebody else had said it so I could have laughed at it more. I also love seeing people can't breath properly with teary-eyes because they're laughing too much.
Funny words make me laugh,too 'Oh what a 'Fretty Plowers' stupid words like that. The biggest laughs I've got are from looking at my own life ridiculousness,wickedness & from my own stupidity.

Germany is a country where everything works efficiently.The utilities are there on command,with your rights as a private citizen respected.This is one of the reason why I have admired this country so much- It is so eminently practical to live in!

Our 'Inang Bayan' the Philippines is different story.For all the noise,the inefficiency,the heat,the dust,the poverty and the various inconveniences.I still miss our inang bayan very very badly.I had already acknowledged the fact that I've always felt lucky to have been born among these warm people.I had glimses of this gratitude in action I guess whenever I'd speak about Philippines.I'd always wonder,recalling the news items about 'Inang Bayan' that would now & then erupt in the German Newspaper.I'd think and pray for 'Inang Bayan' all the time. I cried like silly whenever I hear our National Anthem which made me realize now that I am closet patriot & that my soul is hopelessly Pinay and I will thus have to suffer the fate of every expatriate-never to feel at home despite the fact that my life here in Germany is so comfortable and so nice in many ways.

Debt of gratitude or 'utang na loob'

This is one Filipino Traits I don't really like. I'd want to offer what I am able to offer and when I am able to offer.In return, I do NOT expect neverending,everlasting debt of gratitude.

So YOU!please refrain from telling everyone na wala akong 'utang na loob'. Those 'pakikisama'of yours when we're still friends were part of reciprocal obligation we both enjoyed! comprendez?

This maybe one of my many embarrassing experiences while learning German Language.I guess these are part of what makes learning a language so interesting:D

In Summer 2003,after my german class while riding the train from Frankfurt back to Hanau. I became uncomfortably hot (BTW,that was the hottest Summer in german weather history,more than 40°C? Imagine??)In my li'l effort to ease me from the streaming afternoon sun.I casually asked(with my mala-tarzan german,that time,hehe) my train-seatmate 'Bist du heiss? (Are you hot?)Slowly that person turned and looked at me and began to giggle.Nonetheless,that person next to me looked at me again but said to me: Next time say, 'Ist dir heiss? I later found that,rather than asking this person if she was warm,I'd asked her if she was aroused?bwehehe

Luckily,we're both female & I was preggy LOL

Li'l tip for those who are learning german:

-Don't trust your sense of hearing.One classmate of mine ordered an 'earthquake' flavored icecream??She asked the waiter 'Ich hätte gern ein Eis mit Erdbeben,bitte!(I'd like to have Icecream with Earthquake,please!) she said: 'Erdbeben' instead of 'Erdbeeren' which means Strawberry

-Never ever combine german & english.Like when you are recieving gifts & you go to thank a german for the present.Saying:Danke für die, 'Gift'!.You'll be in big big trouble as 'gift' means 'poison' in german :)

Ok! I must confess, I am not only cruel to plants but to animals,too.. Just kidding!!:p

BTW,Do you talk to your plants?well..I do(sounds silly I know,hehe).I think talking to them helps them grow better.Actually,I wasn't so sure if talking really helped a plant til I decided to do my own experiment in which I took two plants and talked nicely to only one of them and verbally abused another one (Such a cruel!)Luckily, my husby didn't notice this silly experiment of mine otherwise,he might have think of me really really sick!bwehehe.Anyway,much to my surprise this regime actually seemed to work.The poor abused plant has died after two weeks & the one I talked to was healthier than the other.

I know Thess & friends doesn't forgive animal cruelty,but (me wondering) how does she feel about cruelty to plants? LOL

I have had many gloomy days cheered up by this kind of silly conversations with filipino friends & I've been missing that! *sigh*

I've got a lot of other things(mostly personal) that need my time. I want to pause, focus on the other tasks, then come back to blogging!
