Robot as 'Yaya'?

Japan's computer giant NEC Corp. invented an interactive,multi-coloured robot called PaPeRo which can take care of children by offering interactions, plays games, dancing and can send signals to worried parents via cell phones or the web. It can turn its face and speak around 3,000 phrases, including some jokes, and can respond when people touch its head or body.It can also recognize each child through their personal identification and voice identification functions.

BTW,this robot is available for viewing at the World Expo, which runs in Japan's central Aichi region from March til September this year.

I'd love the thought of having a robot in the house to iron, vacuum, cook, clean,to lift & carry things for me,to clean my windows,to massage my back,or to curl my hair or even to take care of my husband(hehe) but not to babysit my kids.It is still scary though to substitute beings with robot because robot cannot do everything, but to follow its programming only. How about you? Would you welcome having a robot in your home?
